i wrote this song about an experience i had around the end of the summer in 2014. when i originally wrote this song it did not occur to me that the sun doesn't rise in the west and set in the east, and that my memory of the event this song is based on was partially inaccurate. this was the first song i recorded for this album.

this is what you get for creating this unstoppable force i dont feel anything anymore on a bench by the river i looked out at the sun going down over queens we just sat there and let the time pass nobody said anything and then it was over we turned around and walked into the night we both found our separate ways home guided by artificial light a few hours later we laid asleep in our respective beds and the sun came up and a few people noticed it the commuters stuck in traffic on the george washington bridge this is what you get for creating this unstoppable force i dont feel anything anymore
